NEWS
Congrats to Brittany Weaver as she recently became engaged.
We ask you to keep Melissa Ruppert and her family in your prayers. Melissa was recently diagnosed with a form of leukemia. She has found a specialist and has started treatments. Thankfully, her local doctor ran a basic blood test, which alerted her early enough that she could get a diagnosis and treatment.
We heard that Abbey Ruppert had her foot stepped on recently…and it has been causing her quite a bit of pain. We understand she has been improving slowing. We wish her a speedy recovery!!
Some sad news from 2008 member Danette & Curt Potter. Their great barrel horse/stallion Bared From Wagering was put down recently from an infection. Our sympathies to them on their loss.
Thank you! to our past show committees for approving OGBRA. We hope we helped to make your 2008 shows a success. We look forward to working with you in 2009!!

The New Year Spectacular management would like to thank OGBRA for their help. OGBRA made $135.00 for working the show as well as donating the help for the Men’s Class. Although this is not OGBRA’s main money maker, the extra income will help at year end.
Don’t forget to put our spring OGBRA meeting on your calendars! We will be discussing year end awards, 2009 show season, the spring show, and the Matches. We look forward to updated news from the Match meeting from Beth Weaver. If you have any concerns, questions about what OGBRA can do…this is the place to ask. Feel free to bring a friend or two. The gossip here is great! We recommend you bring a beverage.
Chris Zehender is the 2009 OGBRA Pee Wee Trustee, Chris would like to make this an outstanding year for OGBRA pee wees…if youd like to help her …contact Chris. Thank you to her for putting together a bake sale at the New Years show. Proceeds went to the Pee Wee fund.
You will see on our upcoming events OGBRA’s Spring Spectacular. This show is a must work/raise money event. We ask that you review your rules for your responsibility. The requirements have been changed a little. Regardless of requirements.. we want everyone to know that this show can not go on without all our help as a Team. Sponsor forms will be available soon. Work list will be available a month prior to show. More info on this at the Spring meeting. Times are tough.. We understand. If everyone obtained just one $25 sponsor…it will greatly help OGBRA and in the end pay you in year end awards.
We wanted to let everyone know that our web site has the updated 2009 rules. I will not be mailing a hard copy out. I would ask everyone to reply to the receipt on this email so I know that I have your correct email.
Our bulletin person will be sending out our OGBRA news this year...due to rise in cost, The Corral will no longer carry our newsletter. We’d like to keep everyone updated on what’s happening with you and your families. You can send info to Jill (see below).
We look forward to keeping up via email or mail. If you would prefer mail, please let Jill know at jillc@totalservicecenter.com.
Don’t forget that we are always looking for a good show to be approved at. If you know of one and would like help working out the details with the show committee let Jan Colson, Beth Weaver, or Lorraine Ruppert know. Approval form is available on our OGBRA website.
Please check our web site regularly for last minute news and shows. http://www.totalservicecenter.com/ogbra.htm
Do not forget, all OGBRA records are available to members upon request.
See you at the shows!
